Because most diet’s approach on weight loss dont work, or arent sustainable, and take too long to see resultsso we give up. Before you get started on any weight loss regimen, I highly suggest you consult with your physician. There are many scams out there, and your physician can easily spot those, and tell you his or her advice on which program might suit you the best. On top of that, I have developed these 6 quick weight loss tips that if followed, will have you melting that fat off in no time:

1. Equalize yo’self! Don’t concentrate on just one aspect; you should have a proper balance of a motivated attitude, routine exercise (that includes cardio and strength training), good nutrition, and maybe diet supplements (if you chose to go that route). You should develop a nutrition plan that balances out lean proteins, good fats (such as olive oil, salmon, almonds, etc.), and low glycemic carbs (whole grain breads and pasta’s). Couple that with a fitness plan that includes both aerobic and anaerobic exercises, and ensure you gradually increase your intensity daily as your body begins to develop and get stronger.

2. Set goals — make them hard, but not impossible! If you are a 45 year old woman weighing 175, don’t set a goal of weighing 125 if you haven’t been that weight since high school! That’s likely not going to happen. But do make it a challenge. In the beginning, you might struggle to get out of bed in the morning and do that jog, but keep at it, and you’ll be glad you did. Determination, and focus is the key to weight loss.

3. Your body talks, listen to it. If you overdo it, rest for a while. If you aren’t feeling like you are pushing yourself at all, step up the intensity. Don’t make the mistake of starting a diet or fitness program that worked for your sister or friend — you may be on a completely different level than they are. We all have different metabolisms, endurance levels, muscle strength. If you are coming off a sedentary lifestyle, start with a program that is made for a beginner. Just make sure you gradually yet continuously step up your intensity.

4. Dont ignore the fibers! A diet rich in fibers will do wonders for your weight loss goals. Fiber has the wonderful effect of making you feel full quickly, and stays in your stomach longer, which slows down your rate of digestion. Even just one serving of whole grain bread has the added benefit of moving fat through your digestive system faster, as well as turning into blood sugar that can spike your bodys insulin level ” giving you more energy, which increases your metabolism, which burns more calories!

5. You know the enemy, and it’s been fried! Saturated and trans fats are the enemy I am speaking of, and you’ll find them in abundant amounts in fried and deep fried foods. Saturated and trans fats will bring your metabolism to a halt, which will kill your daily caloric burn. They are also very bad for your heart by raising your cholesterol. As tasty as those deep fried chicken wings and french fries are, stay away, far away. Instead, go for some broiled or grilled lean meats such as chicken, turkey, or fish. You body will thank you, and you’ll be heading down that road of quick weight loss.

6. Drink lots and lots of water! It’s critical for quick weight loss. If you have a hard time with water, put some low cal or zero cal flavor packets in it such as Crystal Light, etc.. You should be consuming at minimum of 8 big glasses of water daily, and I actually recommend more than that for fast weight loss. You’re eating more lean proteins, and low GI carbs, plus you have upped your activity level through intense exercise — your body needs it. Water also rids your digestive system of waste, another key element to getting trim fast.

7. Low fat diets dont work. Weve been on them for the last 20 years ” are Americans any thinner? Fact is, we need fats in our diets. Healthy fats, like monounsaturated (canola oil, peanut oil, and olive oil) and polyunsaturated (sunflower, corn, soybean, and flaxseed oils, and also foods such as walnuts, flax seeds, and fish) fats. They make us feel full, and curb our hunger. To lose weight, the key is reducing calories, not healthy fats.
